Biosecurity is an important part of our production strategy, this includes the production of our own smolts and the management of loch systems. In key locations Lighthouse Caledonia is the only operator in the loch system, in other areas we are members of the relevant Area Management Agreement. The AMA initiative was a government initiative to help the wild and farmed salmon sectors work together to control sea lice and has proved to be an effective development.
